Position Overview:

Southern Botanical is seeking a full-time Commercial Business Developer in Dallas, TX. The successful BD will be responsible for all sales activities within your network and maintain contact with clients to ensure quality and consistency of service delivery. You will develop client relationships that enhance the success of the business. Familiarity with the aspects of the Landscape industry, including sales, production, customer service, and estimating preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Build and develop trusted relationships with decision-makers and provide solutions to current clients and prospects. Ability to ask questions with the goal of understanding our client’s needs; Present in front of one-to-many people and overcome objections.

• Responsible for meeting monthly budgeted sales goals based on annual revenue budget.

• Must be able to bring additional value during contract negotiations through collaboration with the SoBo team.

• Prepare preliminary pricing summaries for budgetary discussion with the client.

• Review material and labor details to ensure proposals accurately reflect quantities needed to achieve a finished product that meets the needs of the production team and, ultimately, the client's expectations.

• Generate and pursue leads through email, cold calls, association events, LinkedIn and other sources; follow up on referrals as well as create, follow and adjust prospecting plans.

• Lead client from beginning to end of the SoBo sales process. Hand client off to production team and complete follow ups throughout the relationship.

• Maintain CRM and sales pipeline as well as prepare and present weekly/ monthly sales activity reports with desired KPIs & Sales Management.

• Collaborate with support team and communicate feedback to understand client operations as well as deliver cost-effective solutions.

• Attend regular branch meetings in office to understand current branch status.

• Participate in various committees, company, and team events beyond the scope of BD responsibilities.

Requirements:

• 3 years’ experience in business development for a landscape, property management, or similar business with selling experience to corporate decision makers

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience

• Available to work varied hours, including evenings as needed to meet with current and prospective clients and networking

• Valid Driver's License

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must be able to lift 30 lbs and walk, stand, kneel or bend for extended periods
