• Oversee the sanitation team, ensuring tasks are completed as necessary as well as documentation.
• Procurement of sanitation chemicals and supplies
• Liaise with outside vendors for support with pre-requisite programs such as pest programs, janitorial services and cleaning products
• Support the Food Safety Coordinator with all third-party audits for PrimusGFS, FDA, USDA, code of conduct programs etc.

• Complete regular weekly GMP Inspection of the facility to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are being conducted
• Validate and verify all operational checklists (greenhouse, packhouse and sanitation)
• Attend and assist with quarterly food safety meetings and bi-annual mock audits
• Meet company and statutory hygiene, food safety, health & safety and packing standards and procedures
• Conduct weekly ATP testing and uploading of data using associated digital software
• Conduct monthly water sampling, product sampling and environmental sampling, forwarding samples to analytical lab and maintain microbial records.

Academic/Educational Requirements:

• Post secondary education in a business discipline
• GMP and pre-requisite training
• WHMIS

Required Skills/Experience:

• Knowledge of cGMPs, food safety, sanitation principles, HACCP certification is an asset.
• Self-starter
• Independent or team work
• Experience in a high stress environment
• Strong MS Office computer skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization as well as with customers and vendors

Working Conditions:

• On call and after-hours support, when necessary
• Conditions typically found in a warehouse and greenhouse with varying temperatures (hot and cold)
• Sitting, standing, and walking for prolonged periods of time is required
