Position Summary

As a Producer III (Lead Producer) you will take the lead of the management of Client CGI projects, as well as delegating tasks and reporting on the progress of the Production Management team.

Overseeing complex projects, requiring skill and effort, whilst monitoring and working with a sharp eye for detail, the Production Management team will rely on the Producer III to support the development and planning of work initiatives.

Driving processes end-to-end, this role involves encouraging and supporting the Production Management team to standardize processes in order to be increase efficiency. Confident in decision making, the Producer III is always ready to face new challenges.

A Producer III requires a dedicated approach to the job and the willingness to positively influence many members of staff. Working normal office hours for the majority of the time, some projects may demand commitments outside this time frame to meet deadlines.

Must be detail-oriented with experience defining project goals/priorities, scheduling artists/tasks, breaking down and monitoring costs, problem solving working with all departments and entities, looking ahead for potential obstacles, communicating specifications and motivating teams. Will be responsible for client communication.

Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results

  • Manages, developes and retains a team of CGI Producers.
  • Position requires proven ability to prioritize, multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fun, fast-paced environment.
  • Manage task assignments and priorities for the artists using Flow Production Tracking (aka Shotgun).
  • Requires knowledge of CGI project management tools/methodologies.
  • Publishes client notes within studio project management system.
  • Prioritize workload to ensure team's expectations are met and managed.
  • Attending reviews of the materials/content with the client.
  • Work with Commercial Leads and/or Clients to develop and execute creative vision for the brand.
  • Maintain professional relationships with Clients and Commercial teams.
  • Promote, advocate and execute additional content within the scope of the brand's vision that contributes to the growth of the business.
  • Oversee quality control (reviews) and brand management to ensure the highest production value execution.
  • Is the representative of the Production Management group for workflows and process initiatives.
  • Foster a creative and collaboratively fulfilling work environment in the office and remotely.
  • Provide guidance and support in dealing with difficult situations.
  • Provide a calming voice to the broader team in challenging circumstances.
  • Problem solve and educate others on CGI best practices and protocols.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education

  • At least 5 years experience in Production Management within the CGI or VFX industry.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team of Production Management associates.
  • College degree in a film or television related field or appropriate working experience a plus.

Plus Skills

  • Flow Prduction Tracking (aka Shotgun) experience
  • Familiarity with File Sharing
  • Excel or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a CGI/VFX environment
