Southern Lakes Credit Union is seeking a Member Service Representative to join our team!

The Member Service Representative opens member accounts, cross-sells Credit Union products, answers member questions, and provides overall quality service to members. They also help with teller transactions as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others may be assigned.

• Open accounts for members. Enter membership information into terminal to set-up new accounts and/or share draft applicants.
• Provide information regarding Credit Union products, services or policies.
• Reconcile checking accounts.
• Open share certificates of deposit and IRA accounts.
• Order member checks.
• Respond to member inquiries, researching problems and providing information or resolution.
• Greet members into the Credit Union and assist them or direct them to the appropriate area if needed.
• Perform file maintenance on member accounts.
• Perform Teller duties when needed

Marginal Job Functions:

The ideal candidate will display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to multitask, and have previous banking experience

This role is responsible for opening deposit accounts, discussing loan products and taking applications, and assisting the teller line

All other duties as assigned

Experience:

A minimum of one year of customer service experience.

Teller or related Credit Union experience desired.

OtherSkills:

· Intermediate mathematical skill required (concepts and calculations involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).

· Problem solving skills

· Knowledge of all Credit Union policies and procedures and all branch services and products.

· Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for servicing Credit Union members and projecting a positive image as a representative of the Credit Union.

· Excellent communication skills required, both oral and written, to interact with various levels of staff and Credit Union members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
