Today, in over 50 years of family ownership, SMA offers over 60,000 different agricultural-related parts to customers across the United States, stretching from California’s San Joaquin Valley to the Carolinas, and from the Upper Midwest down to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas.
SMA is seeking a Region Sales Manager based in or near our Fresno, California distribution facility to lead our Team of Territory Managers in their sales and marketing efforts while working together to develop new customers and capitalize on new market opportunities.
This Position Will Be Responsible For:
•Managing a team of 10 Territory Managers.
•Achieving annual sales goals within the Region.
•Recruiting, training, and coaching Territory Managers.
•Developing new customers and market segments.
•Managing pricing and promotion for key products within the Region.
•Researching and assisting with the development of new products.
•Providing senior-level account management to top-tier customers.
Requirements Include:
•A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a business or agriculture related field.
•5 years of managerial or leadership experience in an inside or outside sales position.
•Excellent communication, negotiation, and team building skills.
•Ability to travel 30% of the time.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
•Strong understanding of the aftermarket / all-makes agricultural parts market.
•Knowledge of regional agriculture trends and topics.
•Experience working with farm supply stores, farm equipment dealerships, or similar.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
•Experience navigating CRM software and analyzing sales metrics.
