Role: Sr. Accountant Job Type: Full-time, ExemptReports To: Accounting Manager Location: Nashville, TN

Salary Range: $85k -100k (depending on experience) bonus 

Description:The Senior Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and will be an integral part of the SOP Accounting team. The Company has experienced and will continue to experience high growth, offering a great opportunity to further develop accounting and financial reporting skills in a fast-paced environment. Key Job Functions*:

• Work closely with the Accounting, Treasury, and AP teams to ensure proper accounting and reporting at each of the Company’s practices.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliation for assigned areas for multiple locations, including but not limited to accrued expenses, prepaids, fixed assets and cash/credit cards.
• Oversee lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842 as well as management of lease information in accounting software and annual CAM reconciliation process.
• Review expenses for appropriate approvals, coding, timing, and adherence to accounting policies.
• Support acquisition processes, including opening balance sheet accounting and integration activities.
• Utilize accounting software and systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Actively develop positive and collaborative relationships across departments, assisting with financial information requests and questions.

• Ability to work with all levels of teams from Entry-level to Sr. Leadership

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
• 1-2 years of public accounting experience with a Big 4 or large regional firm preferred
• Active CPA license or working toward CPA license preferred
• Experience or exposure to M&A/Healthcare Industry is a plus
• Proven knowledge of US GAAP accounting and internal controls
