Description

General Description:
Assist with the coordination and fulfilling of product requirements. Ensures that goods are produced efficiently; that they are the right presentation, of the right quality, quantity, and that they are produced on time to meet customer demands. Responsible for the oversight of employees. Tracks inventory for
packing material and conduct the monthly packing inventory given assistance to the Purchase Manager. This position reports directly to the Repack and Production Manager.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Request product to Procurement and request transfers to QC based on the repack master schedule.
Fill up work orders with accuracy and quality.
Communicates Company policies and procedures to employees and ensures compliance.
Completes data entry of all repack production into Business Central.
Use the production software Redzone. Attend the huddle meeting and enter data accordantly.
Set up people/work teams for the different packing lines to fill daily production orders.
Able to schedule team members per shift.
Follows, communicates, and reinforces strict adherence to general company safety, chemical safety and food safety policies and policies. These include but are not limited to HACCP principles (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and GMP (good manufacturing practices)
Follow first in, first out inventory rotation in coolers on bulk products to be used in Repack operation.
Monitors product and quality control standards. Report questionable product quality to Repack and Production Manager and Director of Repack and Production.
Coordinate, select and pack the best and fresh product for samples, shows.
Provides information to the Director of Repack and Production and Repack and Production Manager regarding issues or concerns which may result in disciplinary action on an employee.
Treat and maintain company assets with sense of ownership.
Report any incident or accident immediately to Repack and Production Manager.
Must follow Safety guidelines and use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Cover the Repack and Production Manager during his absence.
Cover any other Hayssen VF Machine Operator Production Supervisor when he/she is absent.
Food Safety Back-Up Person: Pedro Ramos, Repack Manager

Qualifications

Work experience/Required Qualifications:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift, bend, twist, squat, reach and grasp.
Current forklift certificate
Demonstrated ability to monitor and meet safety, productivity, and quality goals.
Demonstrated ability to train employees.
Excellent ability to work as a team and self-driven.
Good attention to details and product quality
Able to follow directions verbally and by phone.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in making recommendations and decisions within scope of responsibility.
Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment from 35 F to 50 F depending on the product we are repacking.
Must bale to work in any of the repack rooms or cutting rooms.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior supervisory experience
Technical expertise in the specific department
Computer literate and able to use a calculator.

Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma

Work Hours:
On call any day of the week for Open Shift based on customer demands
Vacation is not allowed from October to January. All vacation must be communicated with advance notice for proper planning and submitted the PTO request thru the ADP system.
This position requires 0% travel on average.
