Territory Covered: Successful Candidate/s must live within commutable distance to the OPHQ.
Please note that this job/s will require 25% travel.

Job SummaryThe Distribution Supervisor/s will report directly to the Distribution Operations Manager (DOM), Distribution Manager or Construction Field Manager. Each Distribution Supervisor will have 12 covered personnel reporting to them.

Core Responsibilities Of The Position Include
- Lead the team in a Safety Excellence environment with a focus on learning, ensuring critical risk plans are followed, and ensuring our STEP observation tools are implemented.
- Strengthen a culture within the team that is inclusive, builds trust and is continuously improving. This includes ownership of our Diversity and Inclusion efforts. This includes inclusive leadership in continuing to advance our Southern Company “Moving to Equity” plans.
- Optimize team makeup including teaming up when needed, capital efficiency, covered employee training and development.
- Ensure consistent approach to replace versus repair business decisions, contactor utilization and fatigue management.
- Enhance customer experience with boundaryless resource allocation & implementing strategic scheduling/collaboration with the engineering department.
- Provide employees with regular, constructive performance feedback and support them in their personal development.
- Partner with engineering supervisors or team leaders to help develop engineers in the Atlanta Distribution Area.
Education
- High School Diploma/Equivalent; college degree is a plus
- Seven years of distribution construction and/or distribution experience and knowledge of the construction, maintenance, and restoration of both overhead and underground services.
- Extensive Storm Restoration Experience required.
- Knowledge of and experience implementing Section "0", Smith Driving System, NESC, Distribution Bulletins, DOPs, Tagging and Switching Procedures, Distribution Construction Standards, DOT requirements, environmental guidelines, and applicable OSHA regulations.
- Working knowledge of Memorandum of Agreement, Customer Service Standards, Corporate Compliance Policies and the Code of Ethics.
- Performance management experience and/or insightful understanding of the process of setting clear expectations and holding others accountable.
- Demonstrated experience or ability to quickly learn applications that include but are not limited to: ARMS, ARCOS TCMS Web, Dist View, JETS, MOBI, Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Demonstrated commitment to Safety Excellence
- Must have proven leadership results as well as documented cases of successful talent and employee development.
- Knowledge of Safe Work Practices, Distribution Bulletins, Human Performance and Distribution Specifications, Section "O", OSHA, etc.

- Knowledge/understanding of distribution operations practices and procedures.

- The DS will be responsible for the overall performance of their team.
- Continually improve customer satisfaction by striving to exceed customers both internal and external expectations, meet all Safety goals, increasing productivity, and improving the distribution system reliability through quality construction
- Recognize and own high profile and critical customer jobs with a focus on timely and effective upward communication to key internal parties. Plan appropriate resources needed to complete these jobs safely, on time, on budget, and with minimal external/stakeholder impact.

- Must have at least one year of verifiable driving experience (Must hold a valid driver’s license for the class vehicle to be operated. Driving permits are not typically considered a valid driver’s license).
- Must have no revocation of driving privileges within the 36 months prior to application, no convictions of major traffic violations (DUI, hit and run, reckless driving, etc.) within the 12 months prior to application, or any pending charges for a major traffic violation at the time of application.
- Must consent to a continuous monitoring of your Motor Vehicle Record
I understand that this position is subject to continuous monitoring of my MVR in addition to completing routine driving courses and training as assigned by the company.
