**Our Positions:** Southside Market currently has (4) restaurant locations, a processing & packaging plant, a warehouse/dock team, and an e-commerce fulfillment team. We are hiring for all locations with various positions and certainly have an opening for anyone that wants to work. We have positions such as Cashier, Floor Attendant (busser), Dish Washer, Meat Market Attendant, Meat Cutter, Pit Cook, Prep Cook, Warehouse Lead, and Processing Specialist ! We also pride ourselves in spending the time investing in our team members through cross training.

**General qualifications:**

* All Southside employees must have a Texas Food Handlers Certificate prior to 1st day of employment.

* TABC Certification required for all Cashiers 18 years or older.

* Ability to read and speak fluently in English for all job-related circumstances.

**Specific qualifications:**

Will depend on the position. We hire for Front of the House (FOH) & Back of the House (BOH) restaurant positions as well as warehouse, plant, processing, and shipping positions.

A Sample of Positions Available:

* Pit Cooks Pit Cooks learn from our seasoned Pitmasters how to load the barbeque pits, temp meats and assist the barbeque service lines. Pit cooks must be able to lift 25lbs.

* Cashier BBQ Cashiers provide great customer service and Texas friendly hospitality both in person and over the phone. Southside Cashiers work directly with other barbeque line team members such as BBQ Meat Cutter and BBQ Plates Person to ensure all orders are accurate.

* Floor Attendant (busser) The Floor Attendants (bussers) focus not only on the cleanliness of the restaurant, but also taking care of our guests needs while they dine.

* Dish Washer Dish Washers work in the back of house ensuring all our dishes are cleaned and stored safely. Dish Attendants also assist with the unloading and organization of the truck order we receive.

* Ice Cream Cashier/ Meat Market Attendant Being the first and last face our guest sees, our attendants focus on outstanding Texas hospitality. They serve our homemade desserts, blue bell ice cream, as well as weigh and sell fresh meat from our market.

* BBQ Meat Cutter Being a Barbeque Meat Cutter involves a lot of knife safety. We hand cut our BBQ meats in a fast-paced environment accurate to our guest needs.

* Prep Cook Prep Cooks start work early in the morning to prepare our homemade side to serve to our guests. They maintain a clean, safe work environment. Prep cooks work directly with our line staff to ensure products are fresh and available to serve.
