Responsibilities Diamond Grove Center is looking for a qualified transportation driver for our facility. Applicant must have a vaild drivers license, clean driving record, and must be flexible.
Candidate must be able to function as a member of the discharge team and accepts responsibilities for specifically assigned duties, operates company vehicles in a safe manner, operating within all traffic laws and has a good knowledge of the service area and the most efficient routes needed to provide service.
Knowledge of existing policies and procedures (Hospital, Admission / Business Office) and follow these guidelines in delivery of patient care as evidence by no reported incidents of breeches in policies and procedures.
Maintains proper records of mileage and turns in all charge gasoline slips for gasoline and other expenses correctly. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS : - Conducts regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
Performs Service Excellence Represents the hospital in a manner which conveys a professional, courteous, caring, and cooperative attitude.
Is professional in image. Represents the hospital well as a professional in attitude and work. Makes a positive first impression.
Is knowledgeable of Patient Rights and Psychiatric Mental Health Standards of Care and treats all patients with dignity and respects in a consistent, caring manner.
Turns negative services into positive attitude. Able to reserve outcomes by looking for positive approaches. Understands the need for and always maintains appropriate confidentiality when interacting with patients, families, visitors, and all other contacts.
Is an effective communicator. Sees that customers, doctors and others at the hospital are appropriately informed and takes directions well.
Utilizes an open non-judgmental, non-discriminatory, professional, and therapeutic approach to treatment with all patients.
Demonstrates professional behavior and interpersonal skills reflective of Diamond Grove Center mission statement and philosophy.
Practices teamwork with fellow employees. Works with common vision and goals. Demonstrates a cooperative work style. Complies with hospital, departmental, safety and human resources policies.
Promotes a safe work environment for self, patients, and co-workers by complying with the environment of care, safety, infection control and standard precautions guidelines.
Maintains a neat, professional appearance consistent with the hospital’s dress code. Maintains scheduling requirements, attendance, and punctuality in accordance with hospital and department policies.
Follows unit assignment sheet completing assigned task designated by charge nurse. Understands the need for appropriate patient / staff boundaries and maintains a strict therapeutic relationship during active treatment.
Discontinues communication with patients upon discharge. Informs supervisor of any contact after discharge. Seeks out sources to address ethical concerns as they relate to patient care issues.
Qualifications General Performance Criteria Knowledge in transporting patients, vehicle awareness, mental health promotion and maintenance of high-quality comprehensive patient care.
Minimum Requirements High School Diploma / equivalent, with experience as a Treatment Assistant (MHS) and experience. Physical Requirements Overall physical workload is medium.
Must be able to transport referrals / admissions safely to the facility. Ability to communicate orally and writing with others.
Must have knowledge of the admissions process, paperwork and entering the patient into Med-series. Position requires flexible hours.
Frequent sitting / riding for long periods of time. Occasional operation of standard office equipment and computer. Frequent answering / using of telephone (cellular phone).
Occasional conflict resolution; constant attention to multiple details. Frequent problem solving and decision making. Occasional exposure to stressful situations.
Occasional exposure to body fluids and disinfectants.
