You will take the lead in coordinating the establishment and upkeep of SPP's business continuity program.

This position collaborates internally to ensure that the business continuity documentation forms a strong foundation that can be promptly and proficiently utilized during incident response situations.

Additionally, the Coordinator will collaborate with departmental colleagues to address emergency management and physical security needs, ensuring the department is well-prepared to respond effectively to any current or potential events.

To be successful as the Business Continuity Coordinator I, we're looking for :

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or 2 years of relevant job related experience in lieu of education requirements
  • Knowledge of various emergency management and business continuity frameworks
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal, team-building, and organizational skills Preferred :
  • Degree in business continuity, emergency management or information technology
  • Industry certification(s)
  • Electrical utility or Regional Transmission Organization experience
  • Previous experience developing business process documentation, business continuity plans, or technical recovery documentation
  • Understanding of, compliance with, and enforcement of SPP Policies and Procedures Work Environment : This job operates in a professional office environment.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Location : This is a hybrid position with a requirement for a minimum of 3-4 days onsite in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work : This is a full-time position.

Days and hours of workweek are Monday through Friday; 8 : 00 a.m.

to 5 : 00 p.m.

May be required to participate in after-hours call out on nights and weekends. Travel Requirement : This position requires moderate travel (approximately 0-15%).
