Join our dynamic Transmission Service Request and Interchange team!Seeking a dynamic individual to lead, innovate, and drive success in the dynamic field of Transmission Services! As Supervisor, you'll manage a small team of two, guiding daily processing of service requests and interchange. Your expertise will ensure compliance with SPP Tariff obligations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and systems related to TSR and Interchange.
  • Oversight of automated processes facilitating TSR and Interchange functions.
  • Ensure compliance with SPP Transmission Services under the SPP OATT and NAESB OASIS.
  • Coordination of Interchange-related Business Practices.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries regarding selling SPP Transmission service.
  • Administration of SPP OASIS under the SPP OATT and NAESB Business Practices.
To be successful as the Supervisor of Transmission Service Request (TSR) and Interchange, we're looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business related field of study
  • Ten (10) years of electric utility experience related to transmission system dispatch, transmission system operations, rates and regulatory, or another area of responsibility pertinent to Tariff/Interchange Administration; OR Eight (8) years of experience obtained in a responsible role within the SPP Tariff Administration department
  • An in-depth knowledge of transmission system operations, NERC Reliability Standards, NAESB Business Practices and FERC orders including but not limited to 888, 889, 638, and 890
  • Working knowledge of SPP Criteria, market protocols and the OATT
  • Knowledgeable and conversant with tools such as the Open Access Same-time Information System, OASIS Automation, and scheduling systems
  • Excellent communication skills, be motivated to take appropriate action when required and have the ability to work with a broad spectrum of individuals with diverse interests when resolving problems
  • Understanding of, compliance with and enforcement of SPP Policies and Procedures

Position Type And Expected Hours Of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of workweek are Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Working extended hours may be required.
Travel RequirementThis position requires limited travel (approximately 15-30%)
