Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce, a nonprofit organization located in Goodyear, Arizona, supporting the communities of Goodyear, Avondale, Litchfield Park, Tolleson, and El Mirage. The chamber supports the local businesses and professional community, government, and the communities at large.
We have an immediate opening for a qualified Part-time Bookkeeper.
Requirements:
- Bookkeeping experience needed; QuickBooks Online required.
- Cash Basis & Accrual Basis accounting.
- Manage all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including but not limited to receiver reconciliation, issuing checks to vendors, posting cash receipts, and preparing bank deposits, running AP and AR aging reports, contacting past due members.
- General ledger accounting
- Journal entry accounting – work with Debits/Credits
- Financial report generating
- Financial report interpretations - Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Budget vs Actuals.
- Electronic and paper invoicing.
- Daily bank deposits and overseeing bank accounts.
- Weekly syncing of QBO and Billing Software.
- Employee expense report payables and commission reporting.
- Meetings with Board Treasurer for monthly financial reports.
- Confirmation for payroll processing.
- Tax return compliance.
- Payroll Administration.
- Complete Monthly Bank Reconciliation.
- Run reports as needed by management.
- College preferred and strong desire to continue learning.
- Attributes - Reliable, honest, hard-working, aptitude for math, good writing skills, attention to detail, ability to focus on work, positive attitude, proactive problem solver.
- Microsoft office applications – Word, Excel, file systems skills.
- Experience in office setting. Excellent customer service skills and phone manner.
- Valid Driver License and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Compensation – Depending on Experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week.
