Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is currently seeking a full-time Residential Quality, Training, and Development Manager to add to our team of professionals. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety and quality assurance within the Addictions Residential Programs.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Complete new recovery assistant training and safety onboarding in conjunction with Residential Clinical Manager(s) and Human Resources.
  • Provide ongoing training for RA staff to assure alliance with Recovery Assistant Guide expectations and assure class content is delivered with fidelity to curriculum.
  • Monitor the quality of services the RA team provides through chart review and observation of classroom, 1:1 sessions with clients, and phone inquiries.
  • Complete safety trainings, fire, and disaster preparedness drills, and maintain all records of completion as required by Southwestern.
  • Oversee and update the RA Guide, as appropriate, in collaboration with Addiction Services leadership.
  • Collaborate with Addiction Services leadership regarding concerns and opportunities for development of staff and/or programming.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the Alumni Program and Stepping Stone Facebook page.
  • Review all Incident Reports generated by RA staff to ensure timely submission and proper completion.
  • Complete Root Cause Analysis, as indicated, and lead Continuous Quality Improvement projects within addiction residential programs.
  • Participate in Addiction Services leadership meetings, team staff meetings/shift change and PCM meetings.
  • Assist Addiction Services leadership in interviewing prospective RA/CRS staff and with performance review process with existing RA staff.
  • Maintain membership on Southwestern’s Safety, Staff Development and Continuous Quality Improvement committees.
  • Provide consultation and education activities to community and professional groups regarding services offered at Southwestern.
  • Supervise and train students/interns as appropriate.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a residential environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and filing cabinets. This role has the possibility of exposure to inside environmental conditions, such as noise and infectious/communicable diseases, insects, possible exposure to distressed clients, families or visitors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Healthcare, Public Health, Occupational Health & Safety, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Previous management/supervisory experience required.
  • Must have excellent written communication skills with the ability to develop policies and procedures, reports, and general correspondence.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, including one-on-one and participation in meetings, presentations, and training sessions.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have demonstrated excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
  • Prefer education and experience with quality improvement processes.
  • Must obtain and maintain Welle training.
