Southwestern Foam Technologies is Hiring a General Office Assistant - Bookkeeper - Spreadsheet Expert Near Belton, TX

SouthWestern Foam Technologies is hiring a full-time general office assistant with a love for spreadsheets and solid bookkeeping experience. We know you are out there!

This position must perform various administrative duties ranging from general clerical support to backing up more complex bookkeeping functions. We are looking for an applicant with strong office skills, including Microsoft Excel (including functions), data entry, outstanding attention to detail, purchasing, and bookkeeping.

Office experience in the manufacturing/fabrication industry is highly desired. We are a privately owned foam fabrication company in Belton, TX, and we take pride in providing outstanding products and services to our customers.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

o Perform accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

o Assemble, review and verify invoices and check requests

o Sort, code, and match invoices

o Enter invoices into accounting software, prepare and perform check runs

o Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date

o Maintain vendor files

o Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries, ensure credit memos are received

o Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements

· Support/Cross Train with Order Entry function

· Create and maintain spreadsheets

· Maintain inventory usage spreadsheets and data entry for month-end physical inventory counts

· Database data entry

· Create purchase orders

· Sourcing and ordering supply items

· Answering the phone, filing, maintaining office equipment, and other office administrative duties

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

- Well organized, thorough attention to detail.

- Responsive and flexible in working with the team to accomplish needed tasks.

- Highly proficient in utilizing Excel

- 10 key by touch

- 5 years of well-rounded office experience utilizing Microsoft Office, data entry, and customer service.

- Polite and professional phone presence.
