Air/Fluid electrical valves Test Engineer

The team is electromagnetic actuator and valve development and validation. This is on engine valve team and do product engineering for engine control valves. Will spend a lot of time in the lab. This role will support Hydraulic valve testing/development. Have valves that control gas to an engine, throttle valves, bypass and fluid valves. Looking for an engineer to be on the team to support the projects. Projects will be NPI, CPI, field failure. Will be sitting in Mossville and can work from home but they may need to go into the lab when needed and could be doing that 2-3 days a week depending on work load. Someone new to the team will start on field failures to learn and then will move into CPI and NPI. Will be in the lab much more when they are on field failure.

Skills

• 0=-5 years experience (lets talk about anyone with 3 years experience)

• Mechanical AND Electrical understanding
• Mechanical aptitude
• Car repair
• Understanding of engine and emission control systems

Nice to have

• Understanding of electricity & magnetism and how it is applied to actuate mechanical and hydraulic mechanisms.
• Ability to create detailed & actionable verification and validation test plans from product knowledge and a high-level understanding of application risk.
• Work with internal test labs, supplier test labs, and machine/engine field testing sites to execute these plans.
• Ability to interpret GD&T, technical drawings, and schematics.
