Spalding Consulting, Inc., a Saalex company is Hiring an Accounting Clerk II Near Patuxent River, MD
Position Type: Full-Time
Work Location: Hybrid remote/in-office (see onsite requirements below).
- On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Additionally, this position requires on-site work at Patuxent River, MD 1 day per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.
- Supports the Comptroller Outgoing Funds Department.
- Validates, accepts, and approves reimbursable expenses.
- Analyzes and processes rejections.
- Obligates and de-obligates contracts.
- Creates, modifies, and closes Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, and contracts.
- Analyzes and validates contract accruals.
- Reviews and adjusts Service Entry Sheets in Navy ERP.
- Analyzes and processes pre-validation request.
- Format and clean up reports/spreadsheets.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
- At least one (1) year of accounting experience.
- Experience with DoD accounting.
- Experience with Navy ERP.
- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Business Management or actively pursuing such degree.
EducationHigh school Diploma or GED required.
