Spalding Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Junior Software Tester/User Support in Patuxent River, MD. Position Type: Full-Time
Work Location: Hybrid work/in-office. (see on-site requirements below).

• On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Initial training will be mostly virtual, but may require occasional on-site visits during the first few months. Position may require occasional on-site work at Patuxent River, MD.

Essential Functions

• User administration support - create new user accounts, manage current accounts, and troubleshoot account issues via ticketing system.
• Compile and document test cases and test plans for Agile software development team and support user testing.
• Perform system and integration testing for transactional applications and reports by executing test cases and documenting results.
• Support 508 compliance testing.
• Conduct troubleshooting of software issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
• Work closely with software developers to ensure understanding of and adherence to requirements.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

RequiredQualifications and Experience:

• Experience conducting software testing for IT web applications required.

Desired

• PostgreSQL or Oracle database experience preferred.
• Experience providing requirements analysis for IT applications desired.
• Experience with GitLab highly desired.
• Automated testing experience desired.
• Basic programming understanding is a plus.

Security ClearanceMust be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Active Secret clearance desired, interim Secret acceptable to start. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
EducationHS and 2 years’ experience required OR AA/AS or BA/BS degree required.
