Our client is seeking an associate with 3-6 years of private company mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, debt finance and general corporate experience to join the Firms Private Equity and Venture Capital group in the Chicago office. Experience with private equity transactions is preferred. The candidate must be admitted to the bar in Illinois or preparing to obtain such admission in 2023 through reciprocity with another state and have excellent academic credentials.
Essential FunctionsCandidates for Associate positions must be able to provide effective and reliable legal services to clients and supervising attorneys.

• Draft transaction agreements and documents with efficiency and clarity;
• Negotiate deal terms alongside clients and supervising attorneys;
• Manage transaction closings and processes;
• Provide thorough factual and legal research and analysis;
• Competently and professionally communicate with clients and supervising attorneys; and
• Work with and oversee more junior team members.

• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;

Requirements:Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in Illinois.
