Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our team in Bowling Green, Missouri. The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control within our custom manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management, excellent leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Quality Standards: Establish, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee all quality assurance activities, including inspections, audits, and testing, to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Quality Control: Manage the quality control team, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely inspection of products and materials.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the quality management system and lead initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues, developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions to address and resolve these issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality assurance activities, including inspection reports, audit findings, and corrective actions.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor quality control staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Customer and Supplier Relations: Work closely with customers and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues and ensure that quality expectations are met.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications, such as ISO 9001.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, preferably in a custom manufacturing environment.
  • Certification: ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with quality management systems (QMS), statistical process control (SPC), and relevant software tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various departments and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving quality objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: Familiarity with custom manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality standards and certifications.
