Spartan Surfaces is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager/Credit Manager to join our team at our national headquarters in Bel Air. This in-office position offers a unique opportunity to lead and enhance our financial operations within the dynamic world of commercial flooring sales and distribution.

What You'd Be Doing:

• Oversee and streamline billing and collections processes
• Maintain a firm collection timeline and ensure compliance with it.
• Manage and administer compliance with our receivable insurance carrier
• Manage a team of national credit & collection analysts and cash application specialists, and set departmental objectives.
• Collect accounts by sending invoice reminders and communicating with customers via phone and email.
• Establish an industry-leading rapport with customers.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc forecasting reports.
• Stay updated on industry and legislative changes related to collection regulations.
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and correctly posted.

You're Probably a Match If You Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven growth experience in collections and people management.
• Strong understanding of billing and financial concepts.
• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage staff.
• A high degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness.
• Excellence in MS Office and knowledge of relevant accounting software.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in negotiations and resolving conflicts.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
