Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is Hiring a Manager-Clinical Workforce Development Near Spartanburg, SC

Position Summary

The Manager of Workforce and Pipeline Development is responsible for the strategic direction of student employment opportunities, student and associate success development, community engagement, and 6th-12th grade vocational school and ancillary support pipeline initiatives.

Administers system programs integral to evidence-based practice, clinical competency, and career development. Supports the strategic workforce development initiatives focused on retention of associates. Develop a workforce pipeline focused on reduction of travelers and clinical staff recruitment/retention.

Associates are encouraged to support Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s involvement in the communities we serve.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Experience

  • Bachelors prepared RN with at least 3 years of experience as a bedside RN
  • 3 years of experience in nursing academic setting

Preferred Experience

  • 2 years of leadership experience in academic and/or acute care setting

Preferred Requirements

  • Masters prepared RN

Required Licenses/Registrations/Certifications

  • Unrestricted nursing license permitting practice in South Carolina
  • BLS Certification
  • Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required to meet the needs of the students and staff

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Improve communication and electronic presence for SRHS to become a leader/preferred employer for experienced applicants and students entering the workforce
  • Develop community relationships to enhance trust and increase knowledge of SRHS opportunities
  • Cultivate relationships with High School Career Counselors to enhance communication regarding potential healthcare career opportunities
  • Oversee Work Based Learning, Apprenticeship programs, and Project Search for SRHS
  • Recruitment of eligible high school graduates and degree seeking adults for SRHS positions
  • Facilitate and schedule Career Fairs with local communities and academic partners along with Recruitment team
  • Facilitates the curricular design and course instruction for the SRHS Clinical Faculty Academy
  • Oversees the content and course design for the DHEC approved SRHS Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Oversee clinical pathway programs and facilitate communication for internal associates and potential future associates
  • Promote innovations in workforce development, recruitment, preparation, and retention
  • Build the pipeline of future healthcare workers through new education opportunities and career development
  • Participate in High School Career Center Advisory Boards as assigned
  • Develop a program for career coaching and create awareness of and interest in healthcare careers
  • Develop a pre-nursing PCA Program and promote clinical ladder pathway from entry-level to RN
  • Manages student shadowing opportunities
  • Oversees High School to Healthcare
  • Define a CST pathway for clinical placement and recruitment of CST role
  • Supports Medical and Dental resident and fellow programs, as requested
  • Review and evaluate current recruitment initiatives for consistent messaging to all students
  • Maintain application timelines/deadline tracking for maximum hiring potential
  • Partner with clinical programs to support academia engagement for everchanging healthcare needs
  • Conduct research to provide ongoing best practice initiatives to allow SRHS to advance strategic student and new graduate initiatives
  • Retention of associates through intentional mentorship, leadership, and fostering of career growth
  • Partner with Marketing for ongoing website updates and social media communication
  • Predictive student hiring and timeline tracking for new applications
  • Provides orientation and in-service education programs
