Spearfish Canyon Lodge is looking to add a Front Desk Supervisor to our team! We are looking for someone to help us maintain a professional, efficient, warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests and staff to elevate every experience!
Essential Functions as Front Desk Supervisor:
Maintain professional, calm, and organized appearance and demeanor reflective of the business image.
Maintain a friendly, inviting, and approachable demeanor.
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Attentive to details on reservations, verbal, and non-verbal cues.
We are a team at Spearfish Canyon Lodge, and every single department and employee is vital to our success! All employees must be team players and assist other departments or Managers with special projects or in times of need.
Oversee all Front Desk staff and find/cover shifts as needed.
Other Responsibilities as Front Desk Supervisor:
Understand how to operate Front Desk phones, cash registers, computers, and all operating systems.
Ensure security for guests and the property by controlling room keys, verifying guests identities, following credit card verification procedures, and reporting suspicious activity to immediate supervisor.
Complete paperwork necessary for front desk operation (registration folios, credit card receipts, cashier reports, etc.)
Use suggestive selling techniques provided by AGM or GM to sell rooms and upsell reservations.
Promote the Latchstring Restaurant, Roughlock Lounge, and Spearfish Canyon Adventures to ensure that the guest experiences everything we have to offer.
Complete knowledge of surrounding hiking trails, Spearfish, Deadwood, and Rapid City.
Requirements:
3 years of management experience (preferred)
Legal to sell alcohol (21 )
Weekends and Holidays are required
$17-20/hour DOE
Possible $125 monthly bonus
