A leading engineering and construction firm with a long history of executing customized design/build projects for industrial facilities including new design and construction of manufacturing plants and facilities, and rehabilitation of existing plants/facilities and other high-hazard environments is seeking a highly organized and proactive Sales Development Representative to become a member of our dynamic sales and marketing team.

This role involves comprehensive support of the business development process, assisting with sales administration, and gaining an understanding of the technical aspects of our services.

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in manufacturing, particularly in the chemical, advanced technology and environmental technology areas. Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are also highly desired.

Responsibilities:

Sales Process Support:

  • Work with the team to prepare sales presentations, proposals, and contracts with attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of proposal development.
  • Assist in managing customer relationships, addressing inquiries, and providing timely follow-ups.
  • Maintain and update customer relationship management (CRM) systems using Salesforce.

Sales Administrative Assistance:

  • Manage Business Development calendar, including scheduling meetings and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Attend and document sales meetings.
  • Handle correspondence, emails and phone calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Follow-up on Account Executive Sales Calls.
  • Assist in organizing events and meetings.

Technical Understanding:

  • Must have the ability to develop a basic understanding of our process, chemical, and electrical engineering and
  • construction business.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and competitors.
  • Assist in translating technical information into clear, compelling proposal materials.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Salesforce CRM.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to grasp engineering concepts.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, communication or business is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative or sales support role, preferably in a technical or engineering-related industry.
