Special Olympics Brand is Hiring a Manager, Operations Near Washington, DC

Position Title: Manager, Operations
Location: Washington, DC
Department: Learning & Organizational Development
Reports to: Senior Director, Strategic Operations & Project Management Operations

Primary Responsibilities:

SOI Strategic Planning and Tracking:

  • Assist in communicating timelines and tracking progress against strategic plan targets.

SOI Operations:

  • Manage the annual operational planning process, timelines, and guidance.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of operational tools, templates, and procedures.
  • Monitor the global operational portfolio.
  • Train staff on operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist in analyzing operational objectives data for dashboard and staff use.
  • Conduct cross-functional collaboration meetings.
  • Support analysis of operational data.
  • Collaborate with Senior Project Manager on Project Management process overlap.
  • Manage operational policies, procedures, and timelines.
  • Assist organization in translation management policy, tools, and practice.
  • Manage Software for Operations and Project Management.

Integration Week (IW):

  • Assist in event hosting and logistics planning for Spring and Fall Integration Week (IW) meetings for the Global Leadership Team.

Leadership and Organizational Development & Operations Team:

  • Manage finances and administrative functions by serving as Operations and L&OD department project manager, planning officer, and budget officer.
  • Facilitate in-person team meetings with Operations and L&OD leaders and colleagues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and sound reasoning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management systems and MS Office products.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Proactive, energetic approach with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to solve problems diplomatically and maintain relationships.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • Commitment to confidentiality.
