Machine operation :

Load raw materials into the machine according to specifications.

Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and output.

Start, stop, and regulate the machine based on production requirements.

Inspect finished products for defects and ensure quality standards are met.

Setup and adjustments :

Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions to set up the machine for specific tasks.

Select and install appropriate tools and attachments for the machine.

Adjust machine settings to optimize production efficiency.

Maintenance and troubleshooting :

Perform routine cleaning and lubrication of machinery.

Identify and report any machine malfunctions or potential issues.

Conduct basic troubleshooting and minor repairs as needed, or escalate complex issues to maintenance personnel.

Quality control :

Regularly monitor quality of output by conducting inspections and taking measurements.

Identify and address quality issues promptly.

Safety compliance :

Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.

Report any safety hazards or concerns.

Required skills and qualifications :

Mechanical aptitude : Understanding of basic mechanical principles and ability to troubleshoot machinery.

Attention to detail : Ability to focus on precise measurements and quality standards.

Problem-solving skills : Identifying and resolving machine issues efficiently.

Basic computer literacy : May need to operate computer-controlled machinery.

Physical ability : Ability to lift and move materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Relevant work experience :

Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Familiarity with specific types of machinery relevant to the industry.
