Specialized Recruiting Group is looking for an IT Operations Manager in the Durham, NC area to provide sound technical leadership.
This is a full-time, on-site position, with a salary range of $75,000-$85,000.
The IT Operations Manager will manage overall systemwide technology planning, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems to business processes, products and services. Strategic thinking, technical business acumen, and good problem-solving skills are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with application of those concepts in the nonprofit world.
Responsibilities:
· Align the nonprofit’s technology resources with the organization’s short- and long-term goals
· Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of our technology resources, ensuring scalability, performance, and information security in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements
· Identify, assess, and implement emerging technologies to improve the quality and scale of our impact
· Provide strategic guidance on technology investments, architecture, and infrastructure to drive innovation and business growth
· Collaborate closely with the executive team, product managers, and other stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business objectives
· Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
· Provide guidance or training to users on how to use technology, and responding to questions in a timely manner
· Use employee feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
· Conduct research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable in regards to industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new business processes and system alterations
· Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss
· Develop and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and third-party service providers
· Manage IT projects
Job Requirements:
· Strong technical background with knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software
· Demonstrated ability to develop and execute technology strategies aligned with business goals
· In-depth knowledge of current and emerging technologies, frameworks, and development methodologies
· Understanding of budgets and business-planning
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strategic thinking
· Problem-solving aptitude
· Experience working in teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement by creating a positive work environment
· Passion for social justice work and a strong desire to make a positive impact in the field.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required
· IT Project Management Experience
