Specialty Building Products is Hiring a Shipping/Receiving Coordinator Near Green, WI
- Shipment Coordination:
- Coordinate and schedule shipments of products according to customer orders, production schedules, and inventory levels.
- Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to arrange transportation and delivery of goods.
- Track shipments in transit and communicate updates to internal stakeholders and customers as needed.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, shipping labels, customs paperwork, and export documentation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, international trade regulations, and shipping laws for domestic and international shipments.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of shipping documentation and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and stock availability to fulfill customer orders and shipping requirements.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure timely picking, packing, and staging of products for shipment.
- Conduct periodic inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
- Customer Service:
- Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding shipping inquiries, order status updates, and delivery arrangements.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, carriers, and logistics partners to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks in the shipping process and propose solutions for improvement.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple shipments, schedules, and documents simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in verifying shipping information, checking documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulations to prevent errors or discrepancies.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with internal teams, external partners, and customers regarding shipping arrangements, status updates, and problem resolution.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Capacity to identify shipping issues, address challenges, and implement solutions quickly and effectively to keep shipments on track and resolve any unexpected problems.
