Spectra Tech Manufacturing is Hiring a Test Technician Near Batavia, OH

This position is eligible for a $500.00 hiring/retention bonus!$100 Monthly Perfect Attendance AwardHours: M-Th, 6:00am-3:15pm; F 6:00am-12:00pmStarting Rate: $19.50-$23.00/hr.Summary:Serve as the electronics technical support for the Test operations group in accordance with customer and company requirements. Focus must be given to Continual Improvement Activities, Quality Assembly Practices, and On Time Delivery. Downstream Process Cells must be considered your customer with all cell lead activities based on this premise.
Responsibilities/ Principal Duties:
  • Interpret and troubleshoot electronic circuits down to the component level via schematics, diagrams, and drawings.
  • Testing and troubleshooting of PCB assemblies and their respective test stations based on customer supplied data.
  • Proficient use of electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, frequency counters, multimeters, etc.).
  • Setup and prepare Test stations for use by following supplied test documentation.
  • Interpret and understand detailed test procedures. Effectively communicate with Documentation Manager, Program Manager, and Quality Manager of any discrepancies found.
  • Train operators in proper test procedures and methods as needed.
  • Assist testing operations to meet or exceed customer ship dates.
  • Improve test times and process efficiency.
  • Provide technical assistance to all operations.
  • Control of all test equipment utilized in the Test area – internal and customer supplied.
  • Maintain clean and orderly test area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Education: Associate degree in electronics or equivalent (e.g., Associate degree in Electrical Engineering).
Experience: 2-4 years minimum experience necessary.
Physical/Cognitive Requirements: Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, with frequent contact with others; Requires prolonged standing, sitting, frequent bending, stooping, and stretching; Manual dexterity is crucial in the placement and handling of small components. Good eyesight is necessary for performing detailed tasks. Occasional lifting will be required.
Waiver: This position may be filled by an applicant without meeting all qualifications with Ownership Group review and approval.
Equipment: Knowledge and skills using advanced electronic equipment.
Work Environment: Job functions will be performed in and around production.
Internal Contacts:This position will interface with all areas of the manufacturing workforce and management team.
