A large government contractor based in the Northern, VA area is looking to hire a strong Billing Specialist to their team! This opportunity is direct hire and going into the office on a hybrid schedule. Experience with Deltek Costpoint preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Billing Preparation:
Utilize Deltek Costpoint software to prepare invoices based on contracts and agreements with DOD.
Review contract terms, project budgets, and time entries to ensure accuracy in billing.
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to verify project status and milestones.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with government regulations and contract requirements during the billing process.
Maintain accurate documentation and records related to billing activities.
Assist in audits and reviews related to billing processes.
Problem Resolution:
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or issues promptly.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to address inquiries related to invoices.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate reports from Deltek Costpoint to support billing analysis and financial reporting.
Assist in preparing financial statements and reports related to billing activities.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements in billing procedures.
Recommend and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in billing operations.
