🚩 Starting Salary: $95,000 - $115,000

As the Area Vice President, Operations you will partner with the Sr. Vice President, Operations to provide direction and supervision to the operation of a designated area, ensuring successful delivery of quality educational services, partner relations, outreach, marketing and development, accountability, and other related objectives. The designated area will include up to 6 campuses and shared support services, which may include related service providers, curriculum and instruction specialists, and behavior analysts.

‖ Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring regular and professional relationships are established and maintained with all district personnel so that the needs of internal and external stakeholders are met to maintain and grow district partnerships and student enrollment.
  • Providing training and professional development to their designated area, which includes Program Directors, Shared Support Services, Campus Site Leadership, and Campus Support Staff. Training can include instructional practices, intervention techniques, employee relations and performance management, and financial management.
  • Partnering with internal and external stakeholders (i.e., site leadership, district personnel, executive management, cross-functional teams, etc.) to solve operational issues or programmatic concerns.
  • Upholding the quality and integrity of their designated area’s operations and compliance with all ChanceLight policies and procedures and State and Federal regulations.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders (i.e., parents, staff, district partners, executive management, etc.) by projecting a positive and professional image and participates as a liaison when required.
  • Developing management and organizational plans for the assigned region working directly with the Directors to formulate annual operating plans and activities to maintain and grow the region and meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Analyzing the financial and budgetary performance of the designated area and collaborating with site leadership and SVP to make financial adjustments as necessary.
  • Collaborating with Human Resources on staffing, succession planning, performance reviews, personnel development, and employee relations. Supporting site leadership in managing employee relations.
  • Ensuring designated area adheres to contractual obligations, certification, and/or accreditation requirements, including renewal requirements.
  • Utilizing the Integrity Assurance Review (IAR) and Accountability Matrix (AM) to monitor programmatic and operational compliance with the organization’s quality assurance standards.
  • Supporting site leadership to fix deficiencies via improvement plans and visiting sites regularly to ensure ongoing compliance with internal (i.e., IAR and AM) and external (i.e., accreditation, state approvals) quality assurance standards.
  • Utilizing data from various sources (i.e., Integrity Assurance Reviews, Accountability Matrix, student data, etc.) to make programmatic and operational decisions and guide instruction.
  • Supporting additional campuses outside of their designated area as needed.
  • Performing other duties as necessary to ensure organizational success consistent with the position's general purpose.

‖ Qualifications Required:

  • Master's degree in education, educational leadership, special education, business administration, human resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3yr's prior experience working in school administration or educational leadership overseeing multi-site schools or programs strongly preferred.
  • Active certification and/or licensure in educational leadership, school administration, or related preferred.
  • Effective management skills and comprehensive knowledge of administrative and school operations, functions, and staffing requirements.
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, particularly for students with autism related disabilities and emotional disturbance.
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge in alternative educational services for at-risk students and working with students with diverse needs at various levels.
  • Knowledge of research-based instructional programming (i.e. Applied Behavior Analysis) strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable state licensure, certification, accreditation laws and regulations preferred.
  • Proven success in marketing, public relations, sales, and school enrollment is preferred.
  • Actively exhibits characteristics of Servant Leadership, looking to the needs of the people and seeking to help solve problems and promote personal development.
