Job Description

The Manager, Proposals & Marketing will focus on proposal writing and supporting associated marketing efforts. Responsibilities include writing proposals for government contract opportunities plus creating associated marketing materials and proposal graphics tailored for bid/rebid proposals. This position will also support business development initiatives and client communication materials as well as other projects assigned by the VP of Government Programs. Reporting to the VP of Government Programs, this position also collaborates with executive leaders to support Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Business Development, and corporate leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform as lead proposal writer for assigned proposals to meet the requirements of government requests for proposal (RFP), solicitations, and requests for information.
• Create innovative proposals to convey and highlight the unique aspects of our services in order to maximize the opportunity to retain current business and capture new business.
• Perform thorough review of RFPs and solicitations to identify all requirements specified in the RFPs and solicitations, and then ensure proposals meet those requirements.
• Perform cross-functional coordination across government programs, operations, finance, human resources, and business development to identify and gather items for RFPs and solicitations to maximize opportunity capture.
• Perform review, cross-check, validation and editing of proposals to ensure all requirements are addressed within the submissions.
• Coordinate and lead appropriate meetings and review sessions for assigned proposals to accomplish executive review and obtain executive approval for submission of proposals.
• Design visually appealing proposal graphics to enhance the clarity and impact of our proposals.
• Collaborate within the government programs team and with the operations and business development teams to understand client requirements and tailor marketing materials accordingly.
• Develop and design business development marketing materials, including presentations, procedures, white papers and other collateral.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in graphic design and marketing to create high-quality graphic designs and marketing materials to ensure our materials are innovative and effective.
• Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and channels.
• Assist with other proposal efforts, marketing projects, initiatives and other duties as assigned by the VP of Government Programs.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Political Science, Marketing, Pre-Law or related field.
• Five years proven experience in marketing with a focus on business development and proposal development preferred.
• Strong graphic design skills and proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design aesthetics and visual storytelling.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
