Spectrum Medical Partners is Hiring a Hospitalist APRN Near Leesburg, FL

Job Summary:
The role of the A PRN Hospitalist is to provide high quality, cost effective, and evidence based medical care to the hospitalized patients. The Hospitalist is expected to provide clinical care for patients admitted at our affiliated hospitals, provide support to our surgical and specialty services through consultative general internal medicine practice. The Hospitalist is also responsible for coordinating care for patients at discharge and facilitating hand-off to the outpatient physician.
Looking For a Seasoned APRN With Previous Hospitalist Experience.Schedule and Status : Monday-Friday and every 3rd weekend
Primary Functions:
  • Responsible for the assessment, evaluation and clinical management of patients in the acute facility. This is inclusive of performing histories and physicals, as well as, conducting physical examinations.
  • Diagnosis and active management of patient conditions, including evaluation and treatment, inclusive of daily patient care.
  • Attend multi-disciplinary rounds at site
  • Orders, conducts, and interprets diagnostic studies and laboratory tests
  • Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including but not limited to suturing, wound care, incision and drainage and splinting
  • Prescribes or recommends pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, including controlled medications
  • Consults appropriate physician(s) for patient care needs
  • Refers patients to appropriate sources of care as required
  • Assures the efficient utilization of resources while supporting clinical pathway implementation and compliance
  • Assures appropriate and timely referrals to a tertiary care facility as indicated by the patient care needs in consultation with the primary care physician or attending physician
Required Qualifications:
  • Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant Certification
  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible (IM or FP)
  • Active FL medical license in good standing
  • DEA license eligible/active
