Spectrum Medical Partners is Hiring an ICS Hospitalist- UF Leesburg/TVH SIGN ON BONUS Near Leesburg, FL
Job Summary: The Hospitalist is expected to provide clinical care for patients admitted at our affiliated hospitals, provide support to our surgical and specialty services through consultative general internal medicine practice. Schedule: Traditional Monday-Friday and every 3rd weekend. Primary Functions:
- Responsible for the assessment, evaluation and clinical management of patients in the acute facility. This is inclusive of performing histories and physicals, as well as, conducting physical examinations.
- Diagnosis and active management of patient conditions, including evaluation and treatment, inclusive of daily patient care.
- Attend multi-disciplinary rounds at site
- Orders, conducts, and interprets diagnostic studies and laboratory tests
- Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including but not limited to suturing, wound care, incision and drainage and splinting
- Prescribes or recommends pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, including controlled medications
- Consults appropriate physician(s) for patient care needs
- Refers patients to appropriate sources of care as required
- Assures the efficient utilization of resources while supporting clinical pathway implementation and compliance
- Assures appropriate and timely referrals to a tertiary care facility as indicated by the patient care needs in consultation with the primary care physician or attending physician
- Doctorate degree in medicine (MD or DO)
- Completion of advanced graduate medical education in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible (IM or FP)
- Active FL medical license in good standing
