SUMMARY:

The Program Manager position is responsible for three primary functions in the customer relationship. First the position is responsible for management of existing customer programs and relationships with the manufacturing facility. Second, this position supports the business development function through the quoting process. Third, lead and manage new programs from the sales close to production manufacturing.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Achieve annual and long-term revenue growth and EBITDA targets as defined by the strategic plan and annual budget and agreed to by the CEO and BOD.
2. Achieve company targets for customer OTD including delivery of engineering projects.
3. Achieve quote hit rate and/or conversion targets.
4. Actively promote and drive a culture of safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage exist manufacturing programs in production. This includes:

1. Working with the manufacturing site personnel to ensure the customer’s expectations are being met.
2. Taking a lead role in solving customer issues and managing communications.
3. Taking a lead role in evaluating production issues where actions are needed by the customer and working with the customer to gain agreement on a solution (example: working with the customer to get needed changes or improvements made to their molds).
4. Assisting the customer service representative with the review of pricing. This will include taking a lead role in negotiation of price increases as required.
5. Monitor customer scorecards and work with the manufacturing and field sales team as needed to improve the company’s performance.

Provide assistance in the business development process. This includes:

1. Identify new growth opportunities within existing customers. This includes identifying key competitiveness issues and opportunities for improvement.
2. Provide technical expertise to the sales process as needed.
3. Work with the field sales person to quote and win new business.
4. Visit the customers and prospects with the field sales person to assist in the evaluation of opportunities and closing of new business as needed.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.S.) 
• 3-5 years of experience in an injection molding industry in the medical industry.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
• Highly collaborative with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software. 
• A background or working knowledge of polymers and injection molding is preferred.
