MUST be a LVN or RN with a current license in the State of TEXAS. MUST be PROFICIENT in Microsoft Word. MUST have GOOD TYPING SKILLS and GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS. Six months or more of general nursing or medical records experience and/or one year of experience in one or more of the following areas: medical, hospital discharge planning or home health care. Experience in the private review/case management or audit sector is helpful. Must possess effective verbal/telephone and written communication skills. Must have strong interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with providers, physicians and insurance companies. Experience with ICD, CPT and DSM coding helpful. MUST be a self starter and be well organized.
