KEY PURPOSE:

As the Apparel Quality Coordinator your main function will be managing wear trials across both Softgoods and Hardgoods products and work cross functionally with Technical Design, Product Development, Raw Materials teams as well as vendors and overseas Pentland QA teams. You will also coordinate customer return samples by working with various teams including Customer Ops, Account Executives, and Sales teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with Raw Materials, Technical Design, and Product Development teams to kick off the wear trial testing program for all new materials, styles, and designs.

• Collect wear trial samples (Softgoods and Hardgoods) from global vendors.

• Coordinate and distribute wear trial samples to all participants ranging from internal (i.e. Speedo employees) to external participants (e.g. Clubs).

• Collect, assess, analyze wear trial results and write a formal report to summarize the results.

• Present and communicate wear trial results and reports back to cross functional and management teams. • Partner with QA Associate, Customer Ops, Account Executives and Sales to collect and track quality related customer return samples as well as forwarding such samples to the respective Softgoods and Hardgoods QC Asia teams. • Work on special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• 1-2 year of experience working in Quality Assurance (inspection, wear testing) in Softgoods mainly textiles and garments. Hardgoods (non-apparel) experience is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of fabric and garment constructions. Knowledge of other non-apparel categories (e.g. goggles, bags, footwear) is a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with cross functional teams both within the US office as well as international/overseas team members.

• Able to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and present solutions to management and cross functional partners.

• A self-starter who takes initiatives in problem solving.

• Ability to multi-task in a team environment.

• Strong computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.

Pay Range: $29 - $34/hour

Base pay is a portion of our total compensation package and determined within a range that allows growth and development within your role. Your base pay will be determined based on experience, skills and qualifications.
