SUMMARY :
Speedy's Gas & Convenience Store Clerk is responsible for supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in the daily retail operations of the storefront.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure the store is always at peak operating level in regards to cleanliness, organization, and product availability
- Greet, interact, and assist all customers
- Ensure storefront is clean, organized, and welcoming to all patrons
- Restock storefront, including coolers and gas tills, as needed; display merchandise to maximize purchasing appeal
- Operate register and ring out customers in accordance with Speedy's guidelines and POS functionality
- Assist in food preparation
- Communicate information about product availability and price to customers
- Observe competitor retail outlets (i.e. gas prices) within the market area; report any significant changes to Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager
- Must adhere to all city, county, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding the sale of alcohol, tobacco, and lottery product
Position Requirements :
- Must be able to work any day of the week
- Must be able to follow directions and performed work duties as assigned
- Must be able to work entire assigned shift on feed; bending, stooping, and moving are requirements of the position
- Must adhere to company dress code and personal appearance guidelines
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Understands exposure to gas fumes and cleaning products is a condition of the position
