**Job Summary:**

The Business Analyst will play a critical role within the Infrastructure & Operations team in the IT department. This onsite position is responsible for analyzing IT systems, identifying and documenting the needs of both business and IT stakeholders, and leading the day-to-day activities of development teams through Agile processes. This role requires an expert communicator, detailed planner, and strong problem-solver who can create alignment among multiple business practices.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Liaison Role:** Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating complex concepts into language that is easily understood by both parties.

- **Technical & Business Understanding:** Develop a comprehensive understanding of your team’s technical systems and the processes of your business stakeholders.

- **Requirements Gathering:** Elicit user and technical requirements for new initiatives and ad hoc requests from multiple internal business practices.

- **Documentation:** Create clear user stories and acceptance criteria by documenting requirements and technical details.

- **Scope & Development:** Determine the scope of requests and identify potential development iterations to maximize client value.

- **Backlog Management:** Prioritize and sequence the product backlog with an understanding of dependencies related to the roadmap.

- **Agile Facilitation:** Facilitate various agile team ceremonies, including standups, refinement sessions, planning meetings, and retrospectives.

- **Performance Monitoring:** Measure and monitor the development team’s process efficiency and velocity.

- **Stakeholder Communication:** Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders and others throughout the IT department, ensuring projects stay on track towards deliverable commitments.

- **Trade-Off Analysis:** Occasionally perform trade-off analysis to influence product decisions and maintain project momentum.

- **Coordination:** Coordinate technical implementation, testing, training, and communication efforts with multiple internal business and IT groups, as well as external vendors.

- **Product Advocacy:** Serve as an ambassador for the product and act as the primary contact for any queries related to the product.

- **Issue Resolution:** Apply critical thinking to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

**Qualifications:**

- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree or applicable years of experience in lieu of degree.

- **Experience:** Minimum of 4 years of technical business analysis experience.

- **Communication:** Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- **Analytical Skills:** Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

- **Agile Knowledge:** Knowledge of agile development methodology and practices.

- **Technical Understanding:** Familiarity with technical terminology, preferably experience in Cloud and Infrastructure projects.

- **Facilitation Skills:** Strong facilitation skills for meetings and stakeholder workshops.

- **Project Management:** Project management experience preferred.

- **Software Experience:** Experience with Azure DevOps or other agile software is a plus.
