We are seeking a Development Engineer to join our team! The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience in the development or engineering of utility-scale solar or BESS projects. If this sounds like you, please apply!

Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance on equipment selections, site assessments, and grading analysis to determine optimal solutions.
• Lead early development and preliminary engineering for projects.
• Guide projects through detailed design phases and ensure they meet technical, regulatory, and budget requirements.
• Manage projects during engineering and procurement phases.
• Lead risk management activities with developed mitigation strategies.
• Serve as the point of contact for technical queries from the construction team, facilitating handoff to field engineering at construction.
• Resolve technical issues during procurement, review technical bids, support contract negotiations, and develop procurement timelines with key delivery milestones.
• Support project proposals by reviewing technical specifications, geotechnical reports, and project requirements.
• Evaluate vendor bids to ensure they meet design and engineering criteria and advise the project team on vendor selection.
• Coordinate project schedules with various teams.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in development or engineering of utility-scale solar or BESS projects.
• Must have experience managing a cross-functional project.
• Proficient in energy modeling software, CAD tools, and GIS.
• Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with various stakeholders.
• Must be able to commute to The Woodlands, TX.
• Some travel to project sites or events may be required
