Job Title: Associate - Growth Team

Location: Houston, TX

Company Overview: My client is a prominent Infrastructure Growth Equity Fund specializing in growth equity, preferred equity, and credit strategies. Currently managing our first fund of $450 million, with 50% of capital already deployed, their portfolio includes six diverse investments in sectors such as batteries, EV mobility, advanced materials, power, renewables, recycling, and waste/water management. As they approach the close of Fund 1 in Q4, preparations for Fund 2 will begin in Q1 while continuing capital deployment from Fund 1.

Position Overview: They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join their Growth team in Houston. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, with a strong preference for those with backgrounds in infrastructure, industrials, services, or manufacturing. Candidates with broad energy or infrastructure experience are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities.
• Conduct detailed financial modeling and valuation analyses.****
• Perform industry and market research to support investment decisions.
• Participate in due diligence processes, including financial, operational, and legal assessments.
• Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for the investment committee.
• Monitor and manage portfolio company performance, including periodic reporting and analysis.
• Support fundraising efforts for Fund 2, including preparation of marketing materials and engagement with potential investors.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, with a preference for 3-4 years.
• Exceptional candidates with 1-2 years of experience will be considered.
• Strong background in infrastructure, industrials, services, and/or manufacturing.
• Broad energy or infrastructure experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct financial analysis and modeling.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• High level of professionalism and integrity.
