Spencer Ogden is supporting one of our clients in their search for a proposal coordinator in Wallingford, CT. This will start off as a 1-year contract, targeting around $30/hr for pay.

The Proposal Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the creation and execution of proposal plans, managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, and ensuring the successful completion of assigned business development proposals. This position involves close collaboration with business development and project management teams to craft unique value propositions that boost our clients' competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Development: Assist in creating and documenting the proposal plan, drafting storyboards, developing win strategies, assigning proposal team roles, and formulating the initial proposal management plan.
  • Review and Adjust: Support the review process, updating marketing materials based on feedback and requests.
  • Decision and Kickoff: Help evaluate the go/no-go decision, participate in the official proposal kickoff meeting, and aid in developing graphics and visuals.
  • Metrics Development: Contribute to the creation of metrics such as change orders, safety, budget, schedule, diversity goals, and community involvement activities.
  • Networking and Events: Attend professional association meetings, trade shows, and conferences to build a professional network, and assist with the setup and preparation of booths.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned and comply with all company policies and standards.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field, or
  • Equivalent years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including verbal, technical writing, creative writing, proofreading, and editing.
  • Strong attention to detail.
