We are seeking an Assistant Residence Manager to join our team! The Assistant Residence Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the residential program assigned and for ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals supported and direct supervision of direct care staff.

Location : Glen Cove, NY

Position : Full time
Hours : Tues - Fri (12 pm to 8 pm), Sat (10 am to 6 pm), Sun/Mon - OFF
Hourly Rate: $19.21

Responsibilities:

• assists in the day-to-day operation of the residence in accordance with regulatory requirements, agency policy, and quality program
• ensures the program follows all regulations
• provides oversight for individual's personal allowance, bank accounts, and financial records
• monitors medication administration to ensure accuracy and standards are being met
• ensures health and well-being as well as promote the individual’s choice
• assists with training, supervision, and evaluation of all direct care staff assigned
• advocates – protects and upholds individuals' rights
• assists manager in creating and maintaining weekly staff schedules
• provides oversight of all program documentation
• performs duties of a direct support professional as needed
• completes incident reports as needed
• works closely with family members

Physical Demands:

• ability to lift at least 50 pounds or more
• daily standing, bending, and lift
• must be able to stand for at least eight hours at a time

Qualifications:

• Associates in related field preferred, minimum of 60 college credits
• minimum of two years' experience in the ID/DD field
• valid NY Driver’s License
• excellent organizational and communication skills
• knowledge of OPWDD regulations
• capacity of mature judgment and ability to handle emergencies in a professional manner
