Sphere Entertainment is Hiring a Senior Manager Finance Near Burbank, CA
Who are we hiring? The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for FP&A functions supporting/overseeing Sphere’s Branding and Creative, Product Management, Business Operations & Insights, and Strategic Alliances groups. The responsibilities include preparation of the annual budget, monthly forecasts, as well as month end reporting & analysis for operating and Capital expenses. The Senior Finance Manager will work closely with the Operations teams for each respective area to ensure all material variances are known and reported on a monthly management reporting package.
What will you do?
- Partner with Accounting team to ensure accurate reporting of month-end results (provide reclasses, review accruals and labor allocations)
- Present Operations teams with financial reporting packages and deliverables for Operating, Capital expenses and Headcount.
- Preparation of monthly forecasts, annual budget, and Long-Range Plan each group.
- Prepare month end reporting variance analysis and submit results to corporate FP&A.
- Maintain in real time full time administrative compensation planning model and reporting.
- Analyze and track labor expenses, to ensure project related wages & benefits are charged out appropriately and provide cost out estimates for future projects.
- Other responsibilities include supporting the Operations teams with day-to-day financial requests, including ad hoc analyses, approving purchase orders, providing coding, etc.
- Collaborate with other Finance teams to continually enhance the reporting process as well as overall operations.
- BS in Business/Accounting/Finance or related field, MBA a plus.
- Prior Financial Accounting & Financial planning background required.
- 6 years’ experience in Finance/Accounting, preferably in financial analysis and budgeting in the Entertainment or Sports industry.
- Strong systems/software knowledge; systems currently utilized by MSG: Excel, Oracle GL, Oracle planning (Hyperion), Coupa, Concur.
- Some possible travel to the Sphere in Las Vegas
