Spherion is hiring a CNC Machinist for a metal fabrication company in South Bend!
This is a DIRECT HIRE position, start day one with the company and skip the temp period!
2nd Shift: 12pm-8pm (Monday-Friday) $2/ hr shift differential

Responsibilities

• Pull and review Job/Work instructions
• Assemble and adjust all tooling required
• Utilize table setup tooling for workholding
• Establish machine origin per work instructions
• Run first piece and inspect work prior to independent quality review
• Run remainder of order quantity while meeting production goals
• Fill out paperwork and keep track of time against direct and indirect labor
• Clean and maintain tooling and machine
• Periodically perform preventative maintenance on equipment

Working hours: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Skills

• Heavy ton machine experience preferred

EducationHigh School
Experience4-7 years
Qualifications

• Must have experience operating CNC machines
• Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16"
• Must have layout and machine set up experience
• Previous Mill and Lathe experience preferred
• Must be able to read blueprints
• Good attendance
• Positive attitude
