We are looking for a Data Entry Technician for our local pharmacy client. As a Data Entry Technician, you will be responsible for reviewing, entering, and processing prescriptions into the pharmacy operating system and answering customer inquiries via phone.

  • Temporary with the opportunity for permanent hire
  • Benefits (upon permanent hire) : health, dental, and vision insurance, 401K, paid holidays, PTO, and more!
  • Pay rate : $19-21 / hr
  • Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 am to 7 : 00 pm (8-hour shifts) and 1 Saturday / month
  • Located in Madison, WI

Responsibilities :

  • Input new and refill prescriptions into the system with a high degree of accuracy
  • Prioritize incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely processing
  • Ensure detailed notes are in the computer and cycle fill coding
  • Calculate and verify prescription dosage for accuracy
  • Provide caring and courteous responses to customer inquiries
  • Complete all assigned prescriptions within the designated shift
  • Receive, assess, process, and liaise with doctors offices regarding prescription refills
  • Become proficient in pharmacy operating systems
  • Assist with order filing, medication packaging, and order profiling for medical records
  • Develop and learn cycle to meet delivery deadlines
  • Maintain data entry records for cycle medication
  • Renew and process both new and existing cycle medication orders promptly

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree required
  • Pharmacy Technician certification required
  • 2 years of related experience
  • Advanced computer proficiency, pharmacy operations system experience preferred
  • Self-starter, able to meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Highly accurate with strong attention to detail
