Responsible for the R&D and technical sales functions for the company. Reviews and sets product development targets and tracks projects, via a comprehensive product development roster, that are innate or specific to the company's process capabilities. The functions are supported by industry leading R&D experience in the acidified and shelf stable food and beverage categories. Responsibilities: Manages and performs detail R&D function in the development and commercialization of industry leading food and beverage products Assists with and performs the qualitative and quantitative analysis from the bench top to full commercialization of new products. Responsible for formulating and defining all Scheduled Process Authority criteria. Performs preliminary cost projections and analysis of all new food and beverage products Works with Sr. QA Manager to ensure that all new products are functional and process capable Stays current on market developments, industry trends, functional ingredients and principal competitor R&D activities Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Skills: B. S. in Food Science based disciplines or a technically related field, M. S. preferred 10 to 15 years of experience in acidified and shelf stable food manufacturing highly preferred Education: Bachelors Experience: 10 years Qualifications: Proficient in FDA and Food Safety regulatory requirements Proficient with Nutritional Labeling requirements Proficient with food and beverage chemistry Superior verbal and written communication skills Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products and Nutritional Labeling software systems Capable of evaluating and performing digitally related tasks. Superior abilities and analytically proficient in product formulation mathematics.
