Job details We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on and creative craftsman to be the Tool & Die Mold Maker for our client in Wake Forest, NC.

The Tool & Die Mold Maker will need to be experienced in machining on Wire, Sinker, Grinding, CNC Lathe, and 5-Axis hard milling equipment.

The Tool & Die Mold Maker will use blueprints to determine project specificati ... ons, set up and operate machine tools, finish, and adjust parts, and test tools to ensure quality standards are met.

This position will also utilize mechanical and mathematical skills while crafting molds, tools and dies. The candidate who will fit the Tool & Die Mold Maker position well is one with exceptional technical expertise and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities :

• Use sketches, blueprints, specifications, and models to plan operations for the fabrication of dies, tools and assemblies, ensuring safety and maximum efficiency
• Verify dimensions of finished parts to ensure they conform to specifications using dial indicators, gauge blocks, calipers, and micrometers
• Utilize hand and machine tools to assemble parts of tools and dies and to repair and modify gauges, jigs, and dies
• Design templates and jigs to be used as work aids for convenient fabrication of products and parts
• Inspects completed tools and dies for signs of imperfection or damage that may affect functionality
• Repairs dies, molds, and tools when needed; disassembles molds, jigs, tools, and fixtures then reassembles when repaired
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform repairs on tools, inserts, cavities and core blocks that are part of the mold build
• Capable of utilizing CNC lathe grinders, mold repair and inspections
• File and finish workpieces using the appropriate hand tools to ensure products are smooth and that they fit together properly
• Select the appropriate metals and materials to be used based on properties, ensuring they meet project specification

Working hours : 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM
