ScopeSpiegelworld is looking for a Junior Video Editor to join the team creating content for its newly created YouTube channel, Circus Town. This position will be responsible for editing various types of media (long-form stories, vertical short videos) for YouTube and other social media platforms. As this is a new channel, the type of content will be evolving constantly. Based in Spiegelworld’s Las Vegas office, this position will report to Spiegelworld’s Head of Creative but will work very closely with the Circus Town Series Producer, Shooter Producer, Lead Editor, Production Coordinator and Channel Manager to plan and produce compelling video content, juggling multiple videos at different stages of completion each week. This is a full time position that earns $27/hour.
As well as being fast-working and proficient in the technical requirements of video editing, the successful candidate will be a great storyteller, able to identify the key moments from shot content and present them in a way that makes each video compelling and entertaining.

ResponsibilitiesThis position will be primarily responsible for:
- Undertaking all facets of post-production of Circus Town video content, including performing online and offline editing of the various video projects.
- Implementing internal workflow processes for consistency and efficiency.
- Communicating regularly with the delivery team and other departments, keeping them apprised of the status of various deliverables.
- Such other duties that fall within your skill, competence, and training as are reasonably expected.
- Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
- A minimum of 2 years experience editing for YouTube, social media, documentary, lifestyle, and/or non-scripted shows or series.
- Experience with Digital Content is preferred.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
- Basic knowledge of CapCut.
- Willingness to expand technical knowledge that might present itself as a new solution to the success of the channels.
- Great storyteller, able to spot the moments from shot content that help tell the narrative and assemble them in the best order to make a coherent, entertaining, and strong story.
- Strong sense of music, timing, and sound design.
- Understand how to locate and choose the best music for the stories.
- Fast-working and able to make decisions.
- An interest in circus and performing arts preferred but not essential.
- Must be a self-starter and excellent multi-tasker, full of good ideas and open to new ideas, with strong editorial judgment, and a good eye for spotting potential compliance or legal issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an always-changing, never dull, creative environment.
- Open to ever changing job duties that evolve with the success of the channels and changes in the platforms that we produce content for.
- Ability to operate a camera and/or knowledge of the various aspects of production a plus but not required.
- Must have valid work authorization for the US.
