Scope The Utility Porter is responsible for assisting with all stewarding procedures within the kitchen and making sure all dishes and equipment are properly cleaned, sanitized, stored, and available for use at all times. The ideal candidate will have the ability to anticipate the needs of others, and work seamlessly between tasks supporting a dining operation that is fun, efficient, and polished without pretense. Ultimately, you'll ensure we provide excellent guest service by supporting your teammates and keeping the dishes and equipment for the restaurant, bar, and kitchen ready. This position earns $20.45/hr and the hours are typically 2:30p-12:30a. Primary Job Duties
Ensures all health regulations are maintained through personal practices and following procedures.
Maintains knowledge of sanitation, dishwashing, maintenance, and safety standards.
Follows the employee break schedules and attendance policies.
Understands the proper use of chemicals on property.
Demonstrates professional grooming and appearance based on company policy.
Cleans and sanitizes kitchens and food-beverage service areas.
Cleans, sanitizes and stores all cooking and serving utensils.
Cleans and cares for all dish machines, grills, and fryers.
Completes daily assignments, checklists, and HACCP requirements.
Restocks kitchen and service inventories.
Performs duties required to support safety, sanitization, health codes, building codes, service, culinary support, and cross department needs.
Able to perform assigned tasks in hot and cold environments that include freezers.
Able to properly use all Stewarding power equipment safely, properly including clean up and storage.
Able to work on ladders, step stools, and any other equipment required to perform the assigned task.
Assist in the training of new employees as requested.

Requirements
Requires 1-2 years of experience, preferably in a high-volume professional kitchen or culinary school environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
Possess a commitment to quality service
Following a conditional offer of employment, able to show proof of being fully vaccinated, able to get vaccinated within 7 days, or have a qualifying medical or religious exception
Participate and pass background check and drug test
Must have valid work authorization of the US
Must have a valid drivers license
At least 18 years of age
Preferred:
Serve Safe Certification for Food Handling
Previous experience working in an energetic, hospitality driven restaurant
